Frequently asked questions about ordering Tahitian pearls directly from our farm in Rangiroa.
Placing your order
How do I place an order with your pearl farm?
Once you’ll get to the checkout page and that you validate your transaction, we will come back to you within 72h to give you the tracking number of your package. Note that if you live in the U.S.A., the process will be slightly different as we will need to contact you first before completing your order: indeed, the common postal service from French Polynesia no longer ship to the U.S.A. so we will need to use FedEx, which require a quotation from them first.
How can I change or cancel my order?
If you need to make a change, please contact us as soon as possible, within 12 hours after placing your order so we can act on it. After that it may be too late, as we may already have begun the customization of your Tahitian pearl.
Delivery
What are the shipping methods?
Packages are shipped from Papeete, Tahiti, French Polynesia (98713). By default, orders are sent by registered mail (around 30€). For greater speed and security, you can choose FedEx (from 300€) but this will need a quotation from them first: you can contact us at gauguinspearl@gmail.com if you need this special service.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We ship mainly within Europe, but we can deliver internationally — with no change in price, unless you are from the United States. Then we will need a quote from FedEx first.
How long will it take to receive my package?
Packages sent by registered mail take about three weeks to arrive. Those sent by FedEx are faster (about one week) and far more secure.
Do you offer after-sales service?
Unfortunately, French Polynesian legislation does not permit Tahitian pearls to be imported back into the territory. As we ship from Polynesia itself, after-sales service is therefore very difficult to guarantee, and returns will be very difficult or impossible.
Payment methods
Which payment methods do you accept?
Payments are mainly made by credit card (VISA, MASTERCARD, AMEX, and others). PayPal options are limited, so we do not use them.
