About this Tahitian pearl
Here is a selection of the keshis from our harvest of Tahitian cultured pearls. Keshis are like “natural pearls” because they are not formed from a nucleus but purely from mother-of-pearl and whose sizes range from 3mm to more than 10mm.

The guide
Choosing your Tahitian pearl
Each Tahitian cultured pearl is unique: it is very difficult to obtain perfectly identical pairs. Several criteria however, define its value.
- Color — from darkest to lightest, even golden, in shades of green, blue, or aubergine.
- Shape — round, semi-round, semi-baroque, baroque, or keshi with unique shapes.
- Size — primarily 8 to 14 mm, sometimes up to 18 mm for round pearls.
- Lust — a round pearl can lose value if its luster is dull.
Aftercare
Caring for your Tahitian pearl
Your pearl is produced by a living organism, the black-lipped pearl oyster. Made of nacre, it requires some care: avoid perfume, alcohol, chemicals, hairspray, soapy water, and chlorine.
Do not mix your pearl with other jewelry to avoid scratching it. Wipe it with a damp chamois cloth, or wear it regularly: contact with the skin rehydrates it and helps it retain its luster.
